I was honored to be chosen by Architectural Digest to design the "Green Room" of The Primetime Emmy Awards in 2008. As this was the 60th anniversary of the awards; the "diamond" anniversary, I took my inspiration directly from this glamorous gem. I designed the architecture of the space to mimic the naturally faceted "architecture" of diamonds, surfacing the walls entirely with glittering, mysterious "soured" mirror and created a reclaimed, silver-gray washed parquet floor. Pale gray sheepskin sofas swathed the celebrity honorees and presenters. The centerpiece of the space was a chandelier of my design fabricated by Hearts On Fire; composed of 3,300 perfectly cut diamonds, with 1,000 carat weight and valued at over $10 million dollars.
