Crowning the peak of San Francisco's Nob Hill, this mid-century pied-a-terre features sweeping views from the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, Alcatraz, and Coit Tower to the skyscrapers of the financial district. We gave the apartment a decidedly Asian flair, given the cultural relationship to the city and the timeless, quiet quality of Asian antiques and artifacts. Antique fretwork doors in the living room belie the state of the art home theatre system within. Vast glass walls are covered with large shutters for light control, privacy and flexibility. Consistent coloration in carpet and custom furnishings keep the apartment open, harmonious and comfortable.
